Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 15, 2026

Luma for Mac does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data. Everything the app knows stays on your device.

What the app stores locally

All preferences (colour temperature curve, wake and bed times, intensity, preset choice, and per-display settings) are stored in macOS UserDefaults on your Mac. Nothing is sent to any server.

If you connect a Philips Hue bridge, the bridge IP address and API key are stored in your Mac's system Keychain. They are used solely to send colour temperature commands to your lights and are never transmitted outside your local network.

Location

Luma requests your approximate location once to calculate local sunrise and sunset times. Your coordinates are used on-device for this calculation only and are never stored persistently or transmitted anywhere.

Network access

The app communicates only with your Philips Hue bridge on your local network. It makes no outbound connections to the internet.

This website

lumaformac.com uses Vercel Analytics to collect anonymous, aggregated page view data: page visited, referrer, browser, and country. No cookies are set, no individual visitors are tracked, and the data is never sold or shared.
